Manchester Metropolitan University Wants You To Stop Having House Parties
MMU’s SU has released a video designed to make students think twice before having a house party.
It attempts to show the dangers of large house parties and the wider impact they have on the community.
However, it also seems to attack the tradition of pre-drinking.
One scene shows a group about to go out: “It just gives you a bit more confidence, by the time we leave, we’re all well up for a big night.”
It comes as part of the Alcohol Impact project by NUS, supported by the Home Office, which aims to encourage a healthier approach to alcohol in student life.
The video features student volunteers, long term residents and police representatives from Fallowfield.
Does the video raise a good point? Would it make you reconsider hosting a party?
