20 Things NYU Students Want You To Know About Sex
Students at New York University have taken time out of their busy schedules to teach their younger siblings some valuable lessons about sex. At the forefront of the sexual education initiative are the campus group, Students for Sexual Respect, who coined the now-popular slogan #BetterSexTalk. The main incentive behind the movement is to target gender-based violence, especially with regards to sex, and to promote a mutual sexual respect.
Working alongside a photographer, the students involved posed a question to their contemporaries around campus:
“If you could give one piece of advice to a younger sibling about sex, what would you say?”
A series of over 100 powerful portraits were later compiled and shared via social media, namely Facebook and Twitter, in order to spread the word about the campaign. Ultimately, these NYU students want to eradicate the stigma that surrounds sex and the difficulty people find in talking about.
