Students Said These Are The Most Creative Universities In The UK

Uni is a place to try new things, pursue interests and, often, to get creative – whether you’re studying a creative course or not. It can be painting, making music, or going to the theatre – whatever you’re into – a uni’s creative scene can impact what you choose on your UCAS form.

Which? asked students to rate their unis based on how inspiring the creative scene at their institution is. Over 10,000 students responded in their University Student Survey 2016 and these five unis came out on top.

Falmouth University.

One Falmouth Uni student said: “Falmouth is so small you get to know everyone and you’re surrounded by some of the most creative students in the country – it’s pretty cool.”

University of the Arts, London.

One UAL student said: “The university definitely immerses itself in art. There are always posters and notifications around the school alerting students about new exhibitions, societies and demonstrations happening around London.”

Norwich University of the Arts.

One Norwich Uni student said: “The opportunities given to me to display my work in exhibitions and also spaces within the university and around the city are really brilliant.”

Goldsmiths, University of London.

One Goldsmiths Uni student said: “Goldsmiths is a great, creative environment, where they encourage you to be yourself and really explore your creativity.”

Bath Spa University.

One Bath Spa student praised one course the uni offers in particular, saying: “This is the best creative writing course in the country.”
