15 Problems Every Sociology Student Will Face After Graduation

Graduating with a degree in Sociology comes with its ups and downs. Here are just some of the problems we face after we’ve been capped and gowned.

1. Struggling to adequately explain to others exactly what your degree was about.

Other than that it involved a lot of angry bearded men.

2. And secretly missing reading about said angry bearded men and their concepts.

10. Missing being able to whip out deep phrases about capitalism on a day-to-day basis.

11. But also wondering whether the time and stress it took to get your head around such statements was worth it.

12. Especially when you discover that the average employer doesn’t really seem all that interested in what Karl Marx has to say.

13. Feeling as though you’ve been a victim of capitalism when you realise that your degree doesn’t open as many doors as you were led to believe.

14. And questioning how you didn’t see this coming.

15. Overall though, you desperately miss the little Sociology bubble which protected you from the real world for three years.
