If You’ve Applied To Study Politics Next Year, You Could Be Doing So Alongside Malala Yousafzai
If you’re planning on studying Politics come September, there’s a good chance you’ll see at least one familiar face in your lectures. Malala Yousafzai, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014, has revealed that she’s received an offer to study Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) at a UK university.
She didn’t reveal which university offered her a place, just that she needs to achieve 3 As in her A-Levels to secure it.
Speaking at the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) annual conference in Birmingham where she currently goes to school, she told the audience: “I’m in year 13, I have my A-Level exams coming and I have received a conditional offer, which is three As, so I need to get the three As, that’s what my focus is right now.”
Malala also spoke about her plans to continue campaigning for girls’ education rights through the Malala Fund alongside her degree, saying: “It is their basic human right, so I will be working on that and I will never stop until I see the last child going to school.”
Good luck, Malala! You’ve got this. 💪
