This Guy’s Twitter Request For a Year of Free Chicken Nuggets Is an Inspiration To Us All

How much money do you think you’ve spent on chicken nuggets while you’ve been at uni? More than you probably care to admit? Definitely more than you remember, anyway. If only there was a way to get a year’s free supply of them…

Well, prepare to be inspired by this American teenager’s bold request for exactly that.

Carter Wilkerson tweeted American fast food chain Wendys to ask how many retweets he would need to get a year’s supply of free chicken nuggets.

Now, if you’re anything like us, you’re probably thinking “nice try”, right?

Because surely restaurants receive requests like this one all the damn time? And surely they just ignore them?

But no. Wendys replied. And it wasn’t to tell him where to go.

Instead, the food chain told Carter he would simply need 18 milion retweets to achieve his goal. 18 million. To which Carter said: “Consider it done.”

Just to be clear, 18 million retweets would be more than Ellen DeGeneres got for her record-breaking Oscars selfie.

Like, a lot more.

So they’re not asking for much. 😅

At the time of writing, Carter’s tweet is on 2.7 million retweets. Not bad, but he’s got a long way to go. And even if he doesn’t make it, 10/10 for effort. As any meat-eating student knows, when it comes to chicken nuggets, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do.

Good luck, Carter. You’re an inspiration to us all.
