You Really Need To See This Music Video From Teesside Students’ Union
Students’ Unions are always there for you. Especially when it comes to hilariously cringe videos.
In the spirit of Loughborough SU – the unofficial champions of awkward sabbatical music videos – Teesside University Students’ Union has stepped into the arena with their own re-imagining of Sia’s Cheap Thrills.
The video, titled TUSU Thrills, features Teesside SU’s student officers singing about all the things they do for students at Teesside.
“Come on, come one! Welcome to your TUSU!” it starts, which works quite well. But if you can make it through such lines as, “Baby come to the English cafe to have fun today” and “Baby come to our AGM in November” without wincing slightly, then 👏👏👏👏
The video is so good it featured on Radio 1 today.
The description on Teesside SU’s Vimeo account says: “Stunning vocals, dazzling dance moves and a celebration of everything that’s GREAT about Teesside University Students’ Union…It can only be the Student Officers’ song 2016/17 complete with lyrics for you to sing along to your hearts’ content!”
Seems like TUSU Thrills is a grower for @scott_mills…hopefully the Officers will be on air later in week to win him round : – )
